  • You can check it in ‘개인번호조회 of KLAS( https://klas.kw.ac.kr/ )
  • When you log in to KLAS for the first time, you have to register your password.

    After receiving a temporary password using your mobile phone number or e-mail authentication method, you can log in with the temporary password you received via text message or email and change your password.

    (9-10 digits including English letters, numbers, and special symbols)

  • You can apply directly at Hana Bank with your alien registration card and school enrollment certificate.

     

  • Access is possible after issuance of a student ID, and you can use it by downloading our university library app (APP).

     

  • Go to KLAS with your student ID number and password, log in, and click 학적/등록/상담관리 on the top menu. Then, click 등록관리 on the left menu, and then click 등록금고지서 출력 to print it out and pay it to the designated bank. If you wish to apply for installment payment, fill out the installment payment application form during the tuition payment period (February, August) of each semester and submit it to the office of your department upon the recommendation of the head of your department.

  • Application for leave of absence will be confirmed by the Office of International Affairs after filling out the application. After that, you can submit it to the Education Support Team. You cannot extend your visa or re-enter the country during a leave of absence, and you must leave the country within 30 days from the date of leave of absence. In order to apply for a reinstatement, you must contact the Office of International Affairs two months before the start of the semester (January, July) for guidance.

  • You can apply from 10:00 to 16:00 during the course registration change period at the beginning of each semester, and you can check the schedule through the course registration notice.

     

  • If you change your mobile phone number or email address, you must change it in KLAS ‘개인정보 수정 to receive important notices from departments. Also, be sure to register your profile picture in ‘개인정보 수정

     

  • Outbound Exchange Programs
  • SAF: Recruitment starts in January or February.

    USA, Europe, China, and Asia: Recruitment starts in February or March, and application documents should be submitted in March or April.

    Japan: Recruitment starts in September or October, and application documents should be submitted in September or October.
  • Refer to the previous announcement for recruitment on the university homepage and be prepared to meet language requirements.

    USA, Europe, Japan, and Asia: Applicants must have language scores.

    China: Applicable without language scores

  • Submit application materials to the host university -> Receive Certificate of Admission -> Apply for visa -> Issue flight tickets -> Orientation -> Departure to the host university
    * Post-selection procedures are to be arranged by students themselves. (flight tickets, visa, etc.)
  • Joining insurance covering the entire study period is mandatory.

    Some universities require students to join a certain insurance introduced by the host university.

  • USA: Tuition should be paid to the host university, while tuition for Kwangwoon University is exempted.

    * For University of Nebraska (Kearney): Tuition should be paid to Kwangwoon University, while tuition for UNK is exempted. However, students still have to pay Fees to the UNK.

    Europe, Asia, Japan, China, etc.: Tuition should be paid to Kwangwoon University, while tuition for the host universities is exempted.

    If tuition should be paid to Kwangwoon University, students must pay in time. (February/August)
  • You cannot receive scholarships called as 교내장학금 for grades earned during the exchange period.
    Inquiries for scholarships: Contact the Student Welfare Team (5032)
  • Ask the host university for approval to reduce/extend the study period -> Fill out the application form for changing study period -> Submit to the Office of International Affairs by the end of April or October -> Apply for visa extension and other procedures on your own

  • Regardless of fulfillment of all the conditions for graduation, students must complete at least one semester at Kwangwoon University after the exchange period expires.
  • Send original transcript Check monthly reports (Request grade review in order of double/minor/primary major) Receive the result for grade review from each College Go through the Office of International Affairs Send the result to the Office of Academic Affairs Credit transfer registered to each student’s account

    Credits are transferable to 전선, 복선, 부선, 일선 only.

    F grade is also registered to the account.

    Grades are in A to D, not P/NP.

    Grades appear on the transcript but are excluded when calculating GPA.

    Maximum number of credits transferable: 35 credits for one year (19 credits per semester)

    Minimum number of credits: 12 credits for one semester

  • If you disagree with the result of the grade review, you can request a reconsideration by submitting Statement of reasons, syllabus, and lecture materials to the Department (Chair). (However, the Department makes the final decision on whether to reconsider.)
  • Original transcripts must be sent on a semester basis.

    You can ask the host university official to send transcripts directly to Kwangwoon University, or send them on your own.

  • Sign up with your student ID number​ at​ https://cafe.naver.com/kwexchange

     

  • Monthly reports for 4 months must be uploaded each term on the NAVER Cafe for exchange students by January/June to be eligible for grading. (3 general elective credits)
