Korean Training Course

A. Korean Trainee

Scholarship support through examination among persons with excellent grades or recommendations for each semester
1) By rating, a person recommended by a Korean language instructor among the first place or persons with an average score of 95 or more: 10% reduction in tuition fees for next semester

B. KW Foreigner Graduation School Student

1) 50% reduction in tuition fees for the first semester
2) 50% reduction in tuition fees for the next semester if the previous semester's grades are at least 85 points on average

※ Scholarship reduction rate may fluctuate when the school year changes
※ In the event of naturalization as a Korean national after admission, it is excluded from the foreign scholarship.

Graduate School Course Scholarship

Scholarship Requirements Note
50% of tuition fee ‧ Students who hold one of below certificates :
TOEFL 30(CBT 197, iBT 71), IELTS 5.5, CEFR B2, TEPS 600(NEW TEPS 326), TOPIK Level 3 or above
‧ Students who submit certificate after admission are entitle to receive the scholarship at the following next semester and scholarships will not be paid if there is an F grade during the previous semester's semester.
30% of tuition fee Student who do not hold above certificates.


* The language test score is valid for two years from the submitted date. Only the original transcript will be accepted.
* The change of scholarship may occur varied by the semesters and has to be applied for each semester by students themselves.

Korean Scholarship

Scholarship Benefit Amount · Primary : KRW 300,000 (Submit above Level 4 Transcript)
· Secondary : KRW 100,000 (Submit a higher transcript than when receiving a primary benefit.)


※ The maximum amount of topics incentives foreign students can receive during their school years is KRW 400,000
※ The period, place, and submission documents will be notified on the school and Office of International Affairs website notice board.

GKS Outstanding Self-Sufficiency International Student Scholarship

Purpose Establish of a foundation for attracting international students by providing scholarships to outstanding self-sufficiency students to give achievement motivation and raise a positive perception of Korea

Eligibility ① Self-Sufficiency International Student who are enrolled in domestic universities (including junior colleges) at least in the second grade of the application year
- An owner of a foreign nationality managed by a university as a foreign student
※ In the case of transferred students, they may apply if they have attended a domestic university for at least one year (two semesters)
※ Except for those who have only enrolled without obtaining credits, graduate programs, and cyber college students
※ Except for Beneficiaries of similar scholarships provided by the Korean government, universities or other institutions (This means the case of receiving support for living expenses, and the amount exceeds 500,000 won per month)
② Student who scores an average of 80 out of 100 during the entire school year
③ Student who scores an average of 80 or more out of 100 in the previous semester’s credit
※ Enter grade based on a perfect score of 100( If there is only an average score on a transcript, university officer records the conversion score and seal or sign as confirmed), Students with a rounding score of 80 cannot apply
④ Applicants who are above level 4 of the Test of Proficiency in Korean (TOPIK)
※ 2021.1.1. Limited to the Test of Proficiency in Korean (TOPIK) certificate within 5 years (The validity period of 2 years is temporarily not applied due to the cancellation of the topic test in relation to the 2020 Corona 19)
Submission Document ① 1 copy of the application form (printed out from the system after online application)
② One copy of passport
③ One copy of each certificate of enrollment and transcript (the grades of all semesters studied)
※ In case of transfer students, submit transcripts for all semesters issued by the previous school (domestic university)
※ In principle, transcripts are issued with “100 points converted” written on them. If it is necessary to rewrite the previous semester’s grades, etc. as ‘100 points converted’, be sure to seal or sign the confirmation of the university representative.
④ One copy of Test of Proficiency in Korean (TOPIK) (based on January 1, 2021, within 5 years)
※ The university official's original verification seal or signature (original copies are accepted for TOPIK website printouts)
⑤ One copy of proof of overseas Koreans (only those who apply)
※ Certificate of overseas Koreans issued by diplomatic missions (preferential selection)
⑥ One copy of self-introduction letter and study plan (written by hand in Korean, using the designated form)
